Juncker, Hermann

Current name(s) of destination(s):
Vienna, Kunsthistorisches Museum
Country:
Austria [1]
Destination category:
Individual
Institutional history:

Hermann Junker (1877-1962) was a German archaeologist who worked at Giza before and after the first World War, and excavated from 1928-1939 an extensive neolithic site in the West Delta.

Notes on distribution:

Documents DIST.52.05 and DIST.52.06 list Juncker but that may have just been a substitution which meant the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, rather than meaning the objects were intended for a personal collection.
